National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week
During National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (April 12 - 18, 2026), we recognize the dedicated professionals who serve as the critical first point of contact in emergencies - our Thruway Authority dispatchers. Working around the clock and in all weather conditions, more than 30 emergency dispatchers stationed at the Thruway Statewide Operations Center (TSOC) in Administrative Headquarters and the Tarrytown Operations Center (TOC) at the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge play a vital role in keeping the Thruway safe and ensuring motorists receive timely assistance.
Spring Membership Meetings
The 2026 Spring membership meeting locations and times have been finalized. Vendors will also be in attendance and able to answer your questions on the various benefits and opportunities available to members.
Your team is looking forward to addressing any questions or concerns you might have about the current state of the Local, as well as our efforts over the winter and our plans for the next few months.
Remembrance, Dedication, Reflection
CSEA members, Thruway Authority leadership, coworkers, family and friends gathered in Silver Creek to dedicate a memorial in honor of Stephen "Steve" Ebling, one year after his passing.
Speakers, including Local 058 President Sean Kennedy, shared stories of Steve's dedication, his work ethic, and the profound impact he had on those around him.
The new memorial stands as a permanent tribute to his legacy and the commitment he brought to the job each day. Steve will forever remain part of our union family.
